Painted Sideboard From Qinghai Province - 19thC Chest of Drawers sturdy hangers attachedThis sideboard from Qinghai province in North Western China on the border with Mongolia & has original painting. The painting on this is incredibly detailed. This has a clear influence of Mongolia, however the painting is more indicative of the Chinese style. Mongolian & Qinghai sideboards were usually made from locally sourced wood, normally elm, poplar or pine. These cabinets were used by nomadic people for storage of clothes and bedding or grain.
