Any finished dwelling can be radically modified by building partitions that can be installed anywhere in the apartment even without receiving permits from local authorities. When installing the partitions in the room, it is worth considering fire, sanitary and hygienic requirements, as well as moisture resistant and soundproofing properties. Depending on the materials used in the construction of materials, the partitions are divided into two types – frame partitions and partitions from small -piece materials. Partitions of the first species are built of concrete or plaster plates, as well as brick and glass blocks. Partitions of the second type are a frame of metal or wood, filled with mineral wool or polystyrene foam and sheathed with wood, plywood, drywall or aluminum sheets. Brick partitions are highly durable, as well as good soundproofing and thermal insulation qualities. During the construction of brick partitions, it should be borne in mind that they significantly increase the load on concrete floors, therefore, a hollow or porous brick is usually used to reduce the total weight of the partition for its construction. Before the trim, the brick partition is put off and plastered. The disadvantages of the structure are high price and high weight. Partitions from gypsum plates can be used to separate the premises only if low moisture. In rooms with a high humidity level, special moisture -resistant slabs are used, necessarily lined with ceramic tiles or natural stone. Gypsum plates are characterized by high sound insulation and refractory. One of the essential advantages of plasters from gypsum plates is the simplicity of creating window and doorways in them. In addition, they can withstand heavy shelves well, are easy to color and cost cheaper than drywall and brick partitions. For drywall partitions, characteristic high soundproofing, vapor barrier and gas resistance, as well as the ability to take any streamlined shape, provided that the frame is used with curved lines. But compared with partitions from gypsum plates, this type of partition is more expensive and more difficult to manufacture, since it requires the construction of the frame and the use of aggregates.
