Six people were injured and two were killed in a Halloween shooting in Orlando, Florida, Reuters reported on November 1, citing U.S. police.
The incident occurred at night in the Orlando area, where, according to police estimates, between 50,000 and 100,000 people were celebrating the holiday.
The shooter was 17-year-old Jaylen Dwayne Edgar. After he opened fire on the crowd a second time, police officers pounced on the teenager, subduing him and arresting him. Edgar was armed with a pistol and is considered the only suspect.
The victims were taken to local hospitals in stable condition.
The Orlando Police Department said it was investigating the incident. The motive for the shooting has not yet been disclosed.
