Among different materials used in construction, there are two materials that, as it seems, have similarity. We are talking about expanded clay and perlite. That and other – good heater, cannot ignite, possess a little weight. Areas of application are extremely similar. That is, as it were, these are monotonous materials. But in fact it is a deception so to speak. Consider how these materials differ from each other in the construction materials considered due to high -temperature decoration and the next stage of swelling. It seems that the production process is the same, but the material is completely different. If soft clay is subjected to temperature pressure, then organic substances will be burned out, and the clay itself will begin to dry and voids will appear in it. So you get a porous structure and light material. If you take volcanic glass and give it again a high temperature, then moisture will come out of the material and as a result there will be perlite. You see the materials are different, but the price and method of production are exactly the same. Both materials are clean, that is, they do not harm ecology, well, refractory. Now let’s leave production and consider the use of materials for construction and for thermal insulation is increasingly using expanded clay. And perlite serves to create lightweight concrete. Expanded clay is also used for thermal insulation of the roof, but perlite is used for sound insulation. You see how many differences at once. Although perlite and looks like expanded clay, but still there are differences in size. For example, expanded clay is much larger and if it is poured onto the floor and pour perlite in the same volume, then it can be seen that the pendal layer is much smaller than expanded clay. It is also proven that expanded clay is able to tolerate it hard. It is worth noting that most often perlite is used for raw rooms. But expanded clay for humidity is not suitable, although its water absorption is also quite normal, but Perlite is still much better. Perlite weight is less therefore, choosing this material, your building will not be too burdened. But in any case, make a choice for you what material to choose, the main thing is that it is high -quality.
