Polypropylene pipes with reinforcement

Polypropylene pipes are a rather popular building material with a number of advantages, they replaced the usual metallic. Light, elastic, convenient in installation, durable, not subjected to corrosion, they quickly won consumer sympathies.

These modern pipes are cheaper than metal products, environmentally friendly. For heating and hot water supply, polypropylene pipes with fiberglass reinforcement and aluminum foil are used. The foil layer is intended to prevent oxygen entering the system. Reinforcement is applied in order to increase rigidity, reduce the number of fasteners.

Reinforced pipes have three layers. The outer and inner layer consists of polypropylene, between which a layer of fiberglass or aluminum foil. In the production process, the method of triple extrusion is used. The result is the walls connected by a continuous monolith. Fiberglass reinforcement consists in the welding of polypropylene particles with fiberglass in a strong connection. The reinforcement of aluminum foil is that the foil layer is perforated, has holes. Polypropylene, flowing through these holes, reliably connects the layers.

To connect the pipes use fittings and a specially designed device – soldering iron. Anyone can connect them without preparation and special difficulty, spending a minimum of time on this.

Polypropylene systems can easily connect to metal pipelines. To do this, use transitions to a threaded connection or flange.

The service life of these products is more than 50 years, and in the water supply systems of hot water – 25 years at least. They withstand the temperature of +95 ° C, and short -term up to 110 ° C, but such a temperature can reduce the service life.

Polypropylene pipes are environmentally harmful, both reinforced and not. During burning, polypropylene breaks up into water vapor and carbon, does not emit harmful substances.

Reinforced products are used to lay any pipelines. For laying open pipelines of hot water supply, pipes with fiberglass reinforcement are more suitable. Such pipes are characterized by less heat transfer, their installation is cheaper.

Polypropylene pipes have a wide area of application: pneumatic pipelines, shipbuilding, agriculture and gardening, industrial pipelines, sewage pipelines, heating and ventilation systems, systems of hot, cold and technological water supply of institutions, residential buildings, buildings and structures.

Polypropylene pipelines from polypropylene pipes differ in the tightness of the connection, the installation rate increases many times, resistance to chemical influences, a lower level of noise of moving fluid, frost resistance and the ability to tolerate freezing. In addition to all of the listed pipes, mechanical influences, blows are withstanding.
